About
My Story
For those of you that don't know already, my name is Isaac.

I play semi-professional football and have competed in both athletics and rugby at national competitions growing up. Here is where I found not only a passion for sport but for improving sporting performance. Through my passion for playing sport I decided to explore the possibility of becoming a Strength & Conditioning coach.
Throughout my degree I worked in powerlifting programming, dabbled in Olympic weightlifting, sprinting and throwing events. I also spent a short time at Wycombe Wanderers football club which was a great experience. The accumulation of these experiences is where my passion for developing physical performance has arisen from all of these opportunities.

Conversely, elite physical performance is not my only passion. Having grown up around Occupational Therapists (OT) from a young age I helped, volunteered and coached children with additional needs. Here I stumbled upon my third passion, aside from competing in sport myself and developing physical performance. I call this movement coaching. When working with Leap Childrens Therapy, an OT company based in Buckinghamshire I realised there was a glaring gap between OT support for children and adults and S&C or performance sports coaching.
This is when I started to diversify my clientele from only S&C into movement coaching as well. Merging my S&C philosophy with the OT approach allowed me to help children and adults across the country to develop and improve their coordination, gross motor skills, bilateral integration, strength and muscle tone, balance and proprioception, all whilst supporting their emotional regulation.
Through launching Hays Coaching I quickly became booked up which limited the amount of people that I could help and see. Hence the creation of this website and the Movement Membership. I needed to find a way to keep helping individuals across the country alongside continuing to run groups and one to one sessions.

I have ADHD and this a key reason why I knew I needed an active career. It has helped reinforce the importance of movement as it has been the key strategy throughout my life, I need it to support my motivation, attention and emotional regulation. Therefore this gives me a unique insight when coaching and I can recognise and support any additional needs with a relevant perspective and understanding for that person. Having the understanding of how Neurodiversity impacts and affects people differently in all aspects of life helps me connect and coach in a much easier and productive manner, as I have an inside view of the challenges faced.
